Suspension
Registry.MUSIC domain names are intended for use by the global music community and for corporate brands. To register and maintain eligibility for a .MUSIC domain name, every registrant must comply with a number of key policies that serve to protect the music community and help the music industry innovate:
-
Every registrant, whether an individual, group, organization or business must have their identity verified.
-
Every registrant must have a legal nexus to the domain name they register
-
Registrants must use their .MUSIC domain in accordance with the Registry’s Anti-abuse and Legitimate Use Policy (for the purpose of music creation, promotion, innovation …)
A .MUSIC domain name that fails to comply with the above requirements will result in suspension in order to protect the .MUSIC namespace and more importantly to protect the global music community at large. This suspension is called the MUSIC COMMUNITY PROTECTION LOCK.
